THE NEGATIVE CONNOTATION OF THE WORD "FEMINISM"

I have to be sincere, this article has got to be one of the hardest for me to write. I don't even know how to start but i have to start from somewhere.
Anyone who knows me knows how i have always advocated for equal rights, its safe to say i was a feminist.
For those who don't know, a feminist is a person who believes in the political, economic and social equality of the sexes. Now most people would probably ask 'why don't you just call yourself an equalist'? Feminists are equalists but you have to state the problem which is women being oppressed and emasculated, sounds kinda perfect right? That was the real intention of the movement, but like every movement they are always a group of people who take it to the extremes.
Recently, i have been on a journey of self realization and actualization which entails getting to know my creator more, knowing what i really stand for and what i believe in. For almost a decade, i have identified as a feminist and have dedicated almost everything towards it, I have been very vocal about equality and also my anger towards patriarchy. I have always felt i was doing the right thing until recently.
Feminism at its core is about choice which makes sense. If we cannot choose freely how to behave, speak, act and present ourselves then we haven't made any progress whatsoever in life generally. But feminism is not all that anymore, the movement used to be about women advancement but now its chaotic, while they are still people who believe that humans should be treated equally regardless of gender, they are more people who use it as an excuse to act in an immoral way or to hate/blame men for everything. Feminism used to be about people mostly women who have decided to change the status quo and would not let society or gender roles limit them but its now a movement that excuses women that wants to be like men. The word "feminism" used to spark interest but whenever the word is being said there is always a negative reaction, a lot of people don't mind gender equality but feminism which is also supposed to be about gender equality causes riot.
I no longer identify as a feminist( hold on! wait! give me a second ) first of all, why should we label everything? Labels put us in a box and dictates that we stay in that and also WE ARE NOT EQUAL not just men and women but people in general, equality in a way advocates for "sameness" which is wrong because men and women are not the same. Men have higher testosterone levels which makes them stronger than women and Women have wombs which enable them bear children while men cannot. Like someone said "equity should be the order of the day" which is very true and precise, people should be given responsibilities according to what they can handle, what is in their capacity, while equality is giving equal responsibilities, equal rewards and equal sanctions to all and there are degrees of things one person can handle and another cannot. The difference between equality and equity must be emphasized. Although both promote fairness, equality achieves this through treating everyone the same regardless of need, while equity achieves this through treating people differently dependent on need. For example, everyone learns differently. Some students do better with auditory learning, while others prefer visual learning and have to see things to understand them. If a teacher only teaches with one style, it will favor those students who prefer this method. While its equal because everyone gets the same treatment, its not equitable because some students may have performed better given a different teaching style.
In conclusion, feminism has lost its way while they are still some people will genuine intentions on advancing women and helping in general, majority has turned the movement to a joke . I believe in equity and there is no need to label that. I believe in men, I believe in Women, I believe we are not the same, i believe we all have our different purpose, i believe we should treat everyone with respect and regard, i believe if a person can do the job regardless of gender or race they should be given the chance.
Its a new dawn, a new movement, my focus right now is serving God with all my life, finding my purpose and helping humanity.

TOP 7 FEMALE DICTATORS AND DESPOTS

There is this saying that goes "what a man can do, a woman can do it better". Not true in all cases but one can see where they are coming from. Anytime we hear the word "dictator" we think of the likes of Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin, Josef Stalin, Benito Mussolini etc, we always tend to forget the women. Why? I don't know. Luckily y'all have me(you're welcome). These women helped shaped history even though it cost the lives of thousands of people. 7. AGRIPPINA  Born in AD 15 in Rome,Agrippina the Younger was the great granddaughter of Roman Emperor Augustus and sister of the Emperor Caligula. In AD 39, Caligula exiled her for conspiring against him, but he allowed her to return to Rome in AD 41. In AD 49, Agrippina saw her main chance and seized it. Poisoning her second husband, Passienus Crispus, she married her uncle, the Emperor Claudius, by then an old and feeble man, and effectively took control. Agrippina soon bullied Claudius into adopting her son Nero...

RAPE:MEN ARE VICTIMS TOO

Whenever we hear the word "RAPE"  the first thing that comes into our mind is a female victim and a male perpetrator which is not false because women are more likely to get raped than men but that does not mean men don't get raped too, in fact men are raped more often than we think, its surprising to know that men makeup 38% of all adult sexual assault victims but before i go any further what is rape? WHAT IS RAPE? The definition of ra...
